The Ministry of the Attorney General, Civil Law Division, is seeking an experienced, client-focused human resources and organizational design and effectiveness professional with superior leadership, and relationship management skills; to lead the division's workforce in HR strategy and operations, talent management and culture improvement programs.

The Talent and Organizational Development Unit provides leadership to the Strategic and Business Management branch, the Civil Law Division, and to the Senior Management team, with respect to a broad spectrum of HR related services, including, talent management programs, strategic and operational HR planning, culture improvement, engagement and inclusion programs, as well as strategic resource and workforce planning

What can I expect to do in this role?


In this role you will:

- oversee HR operations and strategy to meet business needs, including in key functions such as, talent and performance management, strategic workforce and resource planning, as well as engagement, inclusion and other culture improvement initiatives.
- design, develop and implement human resources plans by managing the assessment of the division's human capital plan to meet business priorities and by working with divisional leadership.
- manage relationships with various divisional and ministry partners to ensure the alignment of human resource plans/processes to ministry and corporate business priorities.
- lead key divisional human resources initiatives and business process enhancements to promote standardization and efficiency across the division.

How do I qualify?


Strategic Leadership and Project Management Skills:

  • You are a dynamic, values-based, seasoned HR professional with a robust background delivering full range of HR services, including organizational design and effectiveness, talent management, culture improvement initiatives, engagement and inclusion.
  • You demonstrate expertise in delivering innovative human capital programs through strong project management principles and methodologies to manage and sustain the delivery of program plans, initiatives and goals, on behalf of senior executives
  • You have been successful in promoting equitable practices that value employee engagement, diversity and inclusion
  • You have experience motivating and inspiring staff to achieve results in a rapidly changing environment
  • You have the ability to work with senior executives and colleagues across the ministry and provide guidance and support to divisional management on operational priorities and strategic directions of the division

Technical Skills:


  • You have demonstrated knowledge and expertise of principles, theories and practices of wide spectrum of human resource management including talent management, strategic/analyticsbased workforce planning, culture improvement initiatives, succession planning, recognition programs, process improvements, performance management frameworks, labour relations and related human capital programs
  • You are a critical thinker and can bring a strategic perspective to strategic human resources initiatives to advance divisional priorities and transformation agenda

Communication Skills:


  • You have strong judgement and political acuity, excellent consultative and interpersonal skills that allow you to confid
