Aurora Hydrogen is developing a novel hydrogen production technology with the potential to dramatically change the way hydrogen is used in everyday life. The technology uses efficient microwave energy to produce low-cost hydrogen and solid carbon from natural gas without using water or generating any CO2. Hydrogen production using Aurora's technology has the potential to reduce global CO2 emissions by over 900 million tonnes per year, and we're looking for passionate people to join us on this journey.


Aurora Hydrogen is looking for a driven professional for the role of
Corporate Strategy and Operations Associate dedicated to bolstering our go-to-market efforts across sales, business development, marketing, policy, and customer success.

Reporting directly to the Chief Revenue Officer, the Associate will play a vital role in crafting and overseeing essential functions encompassing corporate planning, analytics, sales operations, and inside sales.

Concurrently, they will act as a strategic collaborator for the Chief Revenue Officer, tackling some of Aurora Hydrogen's most intricate strategic challenges.


This position will be based at Aurora's downtown Edmonton, AB office.

What You'll Do at Aurora Hydrogen:
Act as the strategic business partner for the Chief Revenue Officer, driving Aurora Hydrogen's ambitious 10x growth over the upcoming three years


Potential projects encompass:

  • Crafting a comprehensive 3year corporate and gotomarket strategy,
  • Establishing a research and analytics team,
  • Launching and managing sales operations and inside sales functions,
  • Providing strategic recommendations for venturing into new markets or products,
  • Formulating a customer segmentation model and strategy, and
  • Developing and executing a monetization strategy.
Furthermore, the role will heavily focus on strategic operations, entailing potential duties such as:

  • Facilitating critical staff meetings involving the CEO, sales, and marketing,
  • Establishing and overseeing corporate OKRs (objectives and key results),
  • Designing presentations for the Board of Directors, and
  • Initiating other measures to enhance operational efficiency and impact across the organization.

What You Bring to The Table:

  • 5 years of relevant business experience.
  • 2+ years of experience from a leading energy management consulting firm is an asset.
  • MBA or Business Degree.
  • Passionate about climate change. Hydrogen is the lynchpin to a low carbon future.
  • An understanding of how the energy markets work, with a deep desire to become an industry expert in hydrogen.
  • Initiative and comfort with ambiguity. Aurora Hydrogen is a startup company that is growing rapidly. You will be expected to proactively identify and solve complex problems with little direction.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. Able to synthesize complex or abstract ideas into simple, clear, and understandable messages.
  • Deep domain expertise in hydrogen or similar markets.
