    Description

    Position Overview

    Under the supervision of the Patient Care Manager, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides professional nursing services to assigned patients, including independent nursing services, administering prescribed medical treatments, collaborating with the healthcare team, and participating in patient care coordination and discharge. Demonstrates commitment to the vision, values, goals, and objectives of the facility.

    Experience

    • Recent experience in the relevant clinical area may be necessary or preferred.

    Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

    • Graduate of an approved Licensed Practical Nursing Education program required.

    Certification/Licensure/Registration

    • Certification in IV Therapy and Medication Administration.
    • Must maintain active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba (CLPNM).
    • CPR Training requirements per Employer policy.

    Qualifications and Skills

    • Must be able to speak French at a predetermined level.
    • Knowledge of relevant standards, ethics, scope of practice, policies, procedures, legislation, and healthcare team roles and responsibilities.

    Physical Requirements

    • Moderate to heavy physical effort required.
    • Rotating shifts and weekends may be necessary.
