A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN AREA SERVICE MANAGER (ASM)
Get ready for an exciting journey as an Area Service Manager (ASM) with Bühler North America Your day kicks off with an enthusiastic focus on understanding and meeting customer needs while also leading a dynamic cluster of sales and service engineers.
In this customer service role, you are responsible for assigning clients to a segment and crafting a personalized customer account plan.
Keeping a sharp eye on market trends within your cluster, you consistently identify opportunities for both customer and market development.
Your ability to generate sales leads for our sustainable technology company while you initiate the quotation process for spare/wear parts and services is key to driving growth.
Excitement awaits as you travel to customer sites for 60-80% of your time, building relationships and delivering solutions.As an all-star manager, you guide and plan with your customer service team while serving as the interface to the back office.
Midterm planning/budgeting and cost control for the cluster are in your capable hands as you develop strategies that ensure success.
You always ensure open communication between your cluster and the sales account managers and your commitment to arriving at work predictably and promptly guarantees that our customers receive the exceptional service they deserve.

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 3+ years of relevant experience
- Sales flair with a strong operations manager background
- Excellent customer service skills
- Knowledge of major value drivers of customer P&L and ability to explain the impact of Bühler services
