Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

Identify and manage cost optimization opportunities for assigned spend categories through bid processes, contract negotiations and supplier consolidation
Provide strategic and market insights on annual spend associated with the specific categories and suppliers
Build financial models and structure presentation materials with input from executive stakeholders
Evaluate industry trends and interpret potential implications
Conduct third party research
Assist with the launch of procurement tools including a contract management system and online purchasing
Partner with internal and external stakeholders to identify savings opportunities and manage end to end sourcing process and procurement projects

Requirements/Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required (MBA preferred) and 2+ years of equivalent experience in sourcing/ procurement/ vendor management line function or sourcing/ procurement related consulting/ advisory
Supplier development / management/ monitoring experience
Risk management experience
Project management experience, PM certification an asset
Formal training + working level experience on eSourcing tools, SAP or another similar ERP system
Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize changing demands.
Strong analytical, financial modeling and negotiating skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Self-starter, well-organized, able to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Superior ability to influence and build relationships (both internally and externally) at all levels
Detail-oriented, flexible, agreeable and a team player
Proficient computer skills including MS Word, Outlook Excel, PowerPoint and Internet savvy
High level of integrity and sensitivity to confidential information
