    OVERVIEW

    Dentons is hiring for an Enterprise Applications Administrator to support its six offices across Canada. The role's primary responsibility is system architecture, configuration, and maintenance of Dentons Canada software business solutions which deliver high value to the firm and its clients.

    This work will include the set-up of new systems, the maintenance and management of these solutions, and their integration with other software platforms, for both office and mobile users, using a mixture of on-premise and cloud environments.

    The Enterprise Applications Administrator will design, implement, and deliver solutions which provide value in-line with the Firm's technology priorities. In addition, the Enterprise Applications Administrator will play a key role working with the leadership team to identify emerging and new technologies which the firm may want to implement.

    The role will work closely with other applications administrators, application specialists and other SMEs to ensure implementation requirements are met and the firm's solutions deliver the highest value possible to the firm and its clients following security best practices.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Manage the Firm's enterprise software projects in liaison with the Lead, Business Systems and the Applications & Integration Services team.
    • Responsible maintaining system currency and stability for systems such as: Elite Enterprise / 3E, iManage, Intapp Time, Intapp Walls.
    • Identify and document technical requirements for software solutions and play a key role in their implementation.
    • Identify and implement appropriate security controls in accordance with best practices and by consulting the Information Security team.
    • Maintain day-to-day operations of the systems they are responsible for.
    • Contribute to patching, maintenance activities, and on-call rotation.
    • Produce and maintain documentation (procedural and/or technical).
    • Respond in a timely manner to ticket escalations for the systems they are responsible for following the established SLA.
    • Work closely with the End Users Computing team and Mobility SMEs to ensure applications are deployed harmoniously and efficiently across the region.
    • Design and maintain extensive documentation on software solutions used at Dentons.
    • Provide regular input on developing technology trends, in particular but not limited to, the core legal software solutions that are used in, or of interest to, the firm.

    • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
    • French written and verbal communication an asset.

    • Understanding of IT practice standards and frameworks.
    • Demonstrable experience of managing effective relationships with vendors and third-party suppliers.
    • Able to drive a project from start to finish while delivering on time.
    • Respond to pressure in a calm manner; recover quickly from setbacks.
    • Demonstrates initiative and the ability to be proactive, anticipating needs.
    • Flexibility to accommodate working in multiple time zones.

    EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and CERTIFICATIONS

    • Completion of a degree at the post-secondary level; preference may be given to candidates with a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering Software.
    • Must have experience working with iManage in a corporate environment, preferably in a law firm or professional services work environment - System Engineer certification preferred.
    • Deep understanding of technology infrastructure and design.
    • Preferred, minimum of 3 years of practical experience managing the following software: iManage Work, LexisNexis programs: Interaction, Intapp Time and Intapp Walls.
    • Experience with Intapp Integration Builder (or other data orchestration services).
    • Experience with Elite Enterprise / Elite 3E
    • Ability to understand and use various database systems, in particular Microsoft SQL, and to run complex queries.
    • Ability to interact with all levels of the organization as an advocate for user interest.
    • Self-directed, independently motivated, and able to work well with minimal supervision.
    • Ability to build strong relationships with our Applications & Integration team members and firm wide IT Staff.
