Courier Delivery Driver (Fleet Flex)

Hours of Work: 10 hours working day

PURPOSE:
The Courier Driver is responsible for efficiently and timely delivering small packages throughout the Ottawa region. The Courier Driver is flexible with working hours and physically capable of carrying out 200 deliveries per day. Ensuring and exhibiting safe driving practices at all times, this position is comfortable with navigating a smartphone handhold. Other tasks include completing pre-and post-trip inspections and documenting daily mileage and gas usage.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Complete deliveries within specified and required time frames
Load and unload parcels into the vehicle
Assist other drivers as needed and requested
Complete daily preand posttrip vehicle inspections
Maintain cleanliness of company vehicle

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Excellent customer service and attention to detail
Time management and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must possess a valid Gclass driver's license
Up to date Criminal Record Check
Clean driving record
Previous driving experience with deliveries is an asset

WORKPLACE AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Able to adapt to a dynamic work environment
Able to effectively navigate in highly congested traffic areas
Competent in using a smartphone device
Flexible with scheduling; weekend work will be required
Possess a smartphone
