IT Specialist
Job Summary
Duties and Responsibilities
- Setup, install and manage end user devices such as laptops, desktops, telephones, printers, scanners, telephone systems, monitors etc for multiple clients.
- Provide support for end user devices, network devices and servers onsite and remotely for multiple clients.
- Manage Active Directory, Azure Active directory and O365 mailbox.
- Monitor and ensure stability, security, availability, and scalability of installed Windows and Mac
- Monitor regular backups and end point device protection.
- Maintaining asset inventory for desktop, telephones, network devices, servers etc.
- Ensure strict control on user's access, server access rights, VPN, and filesharing services in line with IT policies and procedures.
- Monitor availability and daily performance of systems and servers, troubleshoot issues and escalate if required.
- Documents all customer interactions and troubleshooting steps in the ticketing system to allow for monitoring and reporting.
- Follow incident response processes for reporting incidents, analysing and documenting RCA for
- Conduct periodical capacity reviews for desktops, servers and network resources to identify upgrade needs. Plan and execute installation, upgrade, and patching activities ensuring coordination with business owners, downtime approvals, coordinating backup and recovery activities to ensure business continuity.
- Perform any other duties related to the job as assigned by the Line Manager.
Qualifications
Minimum Education Required:
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in IT/ Information systems / Computer Science or its equivalent
- Preferably Microsoft Certified, CCNA, ITIL, or Azure Certified
Minimum Experience Required:
- 2 to 4 years of experience
Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent
Salary:
$20.00-$25.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Surrey, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
