we are hiring ECE/IT to join our team to assistants and provide care for children under 3 years old.the guidance of early childhood educators is to lead children in activities to stimulate and develop their intellectual, physical and emotional growth and ensure their security and well-being.
Job Title:
Early Childhood Educator/IT
Required:
ECE Certification (ECE/ECE I/T)
Current First Aid
Clear Criminal Record
Medical Clearance to work with children
Job duties:
- Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and wellbeing of children
- Assess the abilities, interests and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members
- Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor
- Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with coworkers and community service providers working with children
- Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and providing opportunities to express the creativity of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity
- Prepare snacks and lunch, supervised rest periods
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
Salary:
$20.00-$23.00 per hour
Salary:
$24.00-$27.00 per hour
Flexible Language Requirement:
- French not required

Supplemental pay types:
- Overtime pay
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Burnaby, BC V5E 2R9: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
