We are currently looking for an experienced
Clinical Educator that is a Registered Nurse (RN) to work as part of our corporate team.

In this role, you will be responsible for planning, leading, implementing and evaluating a comprehensive education program. You will also support our BPSO activities and initiatives.

Reporting to the Director of Clinical Practice, you will work in collaboration with the leadership team, nursing managers, nurses and others to promote clinical excellence in the delivery of high quality, safe, patient-centered care.

An energetic person who takes pride in building strong and effective interpersonal relationships, you bring to this role your knowledge of best-practices in caring for home health patients and you are motivated by and focused on achieving excellence.

This role requires travel between our Mississauga and Downtown Toronto offices.

Job Description:


  • Plans, delivers, and evaluates competency based orientation and continuing education programs to nurses
  • Conducts needs assessments, provides recommendations and plans education programs to support strategic objectives and evidence based practice
  • Coordinates the development, marketing, delivery and evaluation of interprofessional clinical education services including online and audiovisual holdings
  • Assumes a teaching role for selected programs
  • Assists managers in addressing performance/competency assessment, develops learning plans to address clinical practice concerns
  • Supports staff and acts as a resource in identifying and meeting their own learning needs
  • Coordinates student clinical placements in conjunction with Department Managers and educational institutions
  • Monitor and evaluate integration of learning into clinical practice

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred (or in progress)
  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Minimum 5 years experience (home care is preferred)
  • 2+ years' experience in a nursing educator role
  • Must have a vehicle and be willing to travel between locations
  • Standard Practical Nursing Skills and ability to learn and teach new clinical procedures
  • Expert Nursing Skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of adult education
  • Demonstrated ability to design curriculum
  • Excellent facilitator with demonstrated presentation skills
  • Proven commitment to evidencebased practice and reflective practice
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and proven effectiveness as coach and mentor
  • Knowledge and comfort with mobile technology and documentation
  • Demonstrated ability to lead during times of change and rolemodel effective change management
