Here's how an Accounting Manager for our Montreal office contributes to our team:

Responsibilities:

Oversees, monitors, approves, and is accountable for all accounting functions, such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, check run, payroll, reporting, in accordance with legislation, and PCL policy and procedures.
Reviews and analyzes all accounting/financial adjustments, submissions, and reports and ensures they are completed in a timely manner. Follows up and manages any issues, problems, or discrepancies.
Oversees and is accountable for the setup, maintenance, adjustments, and monitoring of all accounting processes and procedures as required. Recommends improvements to manager, Finance and Commercial Risk, and implements accordingly.
Responsible for leading an accounting team, designing team processes and supporting growth and careers of team members
Responsible for managing internal and external financial audits as applicable.

Qualifications:

CPA designation required
3+ years of progressive accounting experience in the construction or a related industry preferred.
1+ years of supervisory experience involving managing an accounting department.
Strong organizational and time management skills and high level of detail orientation, with the ability to accurately prepare and enter financial information to meet deadlines and requirements.
Strong knowledge and understanding of fullcycle accounting, with the ability to teach and mentor more junior staff.
