    Description

    JOB OVERVIEW
    Reporting to the Senior Manager, Project Management Office, you will develop and maintain project schedules for multi-million-dollar capital building and infrastructure projects, ensuring efficient coordination and timely completion of tasks and deliverables. Using data from various sources, you will work closely with project managers, team members, and stakeholders to support planning and execution for multiple and interdependent projects. You will create and update project schedules, monitor project progress, identify potential delays or risks, and provide recommendations for mitigating schedule-related issues. You will analyze the impact and extent of NCC and subcontractor delays and major schedule changes and suggest corrective actions to keep the project on scope, budget, and time.

    ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
    EDUCATION
    A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in Project Management, Finance, Business Administration or another related field OR an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

    EXPERIENCE
    Three to five years of experience in the following areas;

    • Project Management and project planning; specifically working on infrastructure or construction projects.

    • Developing and maintaining Project schedules.

    KNOWLEDGE

    • of project management principles and practices for large scale complex buildings and infrastructure projects / programs.

    ABILITIES

    • Proficiency in the use of project management software and scheduling tools such as Primavera and MS-Project, MS-Excel advanced functionalities.

    • To collect, analyze and interpret project data for scheduling, risk management and reporting purposes.

    • To deliver presentations; and communicate effectively orally and in writing.

    CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

    • Possess or eligible to obtain Secret security clearance.

    • Position is in the National Capital Region. The person selected for this position must reside within a commutable distance from the workplace at 40 Elgin Street, Ottawa, Ontario.

    • The National Capital Commission offers a hybrid and flexible work environment, all employees are currently asked to work on-site at least two (2) days per week.
