Special Education Support Worker/Instructional Therapist

Immediate opportunity to support home school education goals for youth with physical and developmental disabilities (CP, ASD). Has established curriculum learning program including beginning reader, math, science, fine motor, matching, art. Specific accommodations to realize participation are key. Instruction could also include recreational activities/outings in the community.


Location:

Etobicoke/Mississauga border; accessible by both transit systems.


Work Schedule:

• 45 sessions per week Mornings preferred, some flexibility. Shifts are 23hrs. in duration.

Requirements:

• Min 3 yrs. in teaching or related support role with individuals with developmental, social and communication limitations.
• Knowledgeable in ABA behavior support
• Able to adapt to student's individual learning needs
