Job Title:
Accounting Clerk or Accounting and Filing Clerk and Secretary

We are currently looking to hire an Accounting Clerk.

Under the direction of the Office and Accounting Manager, the Accounting Clerk will be responsible for prepare and process bills, invoices, accounts payable and receivable, budgets, and other financial records according to established procedures.

Job Functions

  • Complete accounts payable function
  • Fulfill duties of Receptionist when absent
  • Prepare daily bank deposits and monthly cash sheets for all buildings
  • Sort and process Utilities data for all building and report anomalies to Maintenance Manager
  • Prepare, process and post journal entries for all utilities,
  • Send faxes, sort mail and arrange for courier deliveries
  • Photocopy and prepare court documents for in house counsel as directed
  • Maintain files in well organized and current manner
  • Manage Head Office Petty Cash Float
  • Pull Prepaid Visa Cards (Tenant Incentives) for Distribution to Tenants
  • Collect Property payment information for Waste Management Report

What we need from you:


  • Accounting graduate/diploma with minimum two years accounting experience
  • Computer literate and knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Good telephone skills, good communication skills
  • Data input/typing skills and use of calculator and other office equipment
  • Organized person

Job Conditions:
Must be physically present in the office - No remote work available. (all safety and health protocols are been followed)

Additional Information:
Minimal after-hours and weekend remote support may be required from time to time.

Assist in switchboard relief

Photocopy for Jonathan, Adam, Eric and rent review

Court files for Betty/Eric

Maintain petty cash

Filing for accounting (Journal entries, Tax assessment forms etc.)

Also Misc. duties


Salary:
From $41,000.00 per year
