Trans Mountain operates Canada's only pipeline system transporting oil products to the West Coast.

We deliver approximately 300,000 barrels of petroleum products each day through 1,150 kilometres of pipeline in Alberta and British Columbia, and 111 kilometres of pipeline in Washington state.

This position is based in our Calgary office and will report to the Manager, Supply Chain (with direct guidance from the Team Lead, Supply Chain Integration).

Duration:
May 1, 2023 to August 31, 2023


Key Responsibilities:


  • Support the Supply Chain Management team with:
  • Contract administration including clause reviews, updating contacts, and preparing amendments
  • Procurement activities including requisition reviews, supporting Buyers, and presentation support
  • Conduct gap analyses on duplicate agreements during integration;
  • Complete ongoing reconciliation of Matting inventory; this is conducted both remotely and physically in the field through intermittent field visits;
  • Assist with proper documentation for purchase and change order preparation and followup;
  • Conduct Key Performance Indicator (KPI) analysis for Major Trenchless Crossings, factoring in days, meters and efficiencies;
  • Review Direct Hire Contract insurance variance and gap analysis; and
  • Assist with other team functions and provide support as necessary.

Qualifications and Professional Experience:


  • Must be enrolled in a Business or Science program, ideally with a focus in Supply Chain Management, Warehousing, or Construction/Project Management with an accredited institution, preferably entering third year or higher;
  • Organized, selfstarter that can work in a team environment;
  • Ability to adapt to changing and competing priorities and deadlines;
  • Approaches challenges with mental tenacity and ability to overcome resistance;
  • Proficiency of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail;
  • Prepared to visit the field and prioritize personal safety and the safety of others; and
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).

Other Requirements and Information:


  • Must be enrolled in an accredited postsecondary institution and return to full time studies in the fall
  • A field visit may be provided as part of this role
