  • Job Description

    The Manager, Learning & Development, is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing learning and leadership development programs to enhance the skills, knowledge, and effectiveness of employees at Indigo.

    Reporting to the Director, Talent Strategy, this role plays an integral role in shaping learning initiatives that help support the development of our people and achievement of business goals.

    The incumbent will collaborate with various stakeholders to design and implement solutions that enable Indigo employees to reach their full potential.

  • KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Develop, implement, and sustain learning programs that enable business strategy and full potential of employees to meet current future business, including but limited to:
  • Learning & development (all employees);
  • Leadership development and
  • Employee experience
  • Oversee annual learning recertification cycle, including communications and reporting activities
  • Develop and embed proof of performance/understanding tests into existing and new learning offerings
  • Identify opportunities to leverage microlearning (vs. standard) offerings to accelerate and support just-in-time learning
  • Partner with the Director on values and competency model design, implementation, and sustainment activities
  • Partner with business subject matter experts to create learning materials (, e-learning, podcasts, etc.), leverage best-in-class design and delivery methods to support business needs
  • Evaluate effectiveness and impact of learning programs from analysis through to reporting; provide data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Recommend and integrate best practice research to enhance existing and/or create new processes and programs to improve learning offerings continuously
  • Facilitate learning sessions via classroom, webinars, and virtual training methods
  • Contribute to the design and execution of employee experience strategies, tools, and resources
  • Partner with a Talent Management Specialist to oversee a learning management system (LMS), e-learning tools, and other digital platforms to create learning content, manage enrollment activities, and measure outcomes
  • Partner with Manager, Talent Management to integrate learning offerings, including leadership development with performance management and succession planning processes to create a seamless employee experience
  • Support Manager, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion to embed initiatives into existing learning and development programs and processes

  • Qualifications

    REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a combination of relevant work experience
  • At least five (5) years demonstratable learning and development – must include program design, development, delivery, and facilitation
  • Proficiency with adult learning principles and instructional and program design methodologies
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to identify and evaluate program effectiveness
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; experience delivering learning sessions to groups
  • Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills including project management – managing multiple and/or competing priorities / timelines
  • Preferred

  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or Organizational Development
  • Experience working in a business agile environment (, sprints, kanban methodology, etc.)
