FOOD STORE CLERK I

Department FOOD STORE


Location LAFLECHE BRANCH


Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to customers, by assisting customers, and providing information and product knowledge, which is maintained through being dependable for all shifts.
  • Provide packaging of customer purchases, and carry out service of purchases in an efficient, professional manner, and operation of Point of Sale System when necessary.
  • To stock food merchandise as per Southland Coop policies and procedures.
  • To perform housekeeping duties, including but not limited to cleaning and facing shelves.
  • To perform receiving, counting and sorting of merchandise duties as directed.
  • To operate and maintain equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
  • To adhere to all Southland Coop policies and procedures related to the maintenance, sanitation and safety of all association assets.

Requirements:


  • Experience in procurement of merchandise.
  • Positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, outgoing and energetic personality.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to solve problems.
  • Physically able to do heavy lifting, climbing, kneeling.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Willingness to further knowledge through training.
  • Successfully pass preemployment testing as per Southland Alcohol & Substance Policy.
