Reporting to the Patrol Supervisor, Team Leads are responsible for assisting in coordinating the activities of all Patrollers during our operating hours.

They will ensure that department standards are met, and procedures are followed. Provide ongoing support to all Patrollers with public relations, risk management along with first aid and associated training activities.

Status: 1 PT Seasonal Team Lead & 1 FT Seasonal Team Lead


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To assume responsible charge of the Patrol team, and provide leadership
  • Responsible for the daytoday training, coaching, and mentoring of all Patrollers.
  • May provide assistance in other areas as assigned by Supervisors or Assistant Manager
  • Assists in the daytoday activities of the Patrol team
  • Provides team spirit and cooperative work ethics. Sets an example of and promotes high quality, friendly and cooperative relationships with guests, the Patrol team, and other staff.
  • Is vigilant, and maintains the communication stream between Patrollers, and Patrol Supervisor
  • Attends and participates in all employee meetings.
  • Ensures proper and complete documentation of the daytoday reports
  • Encompasses all duties and responsibilities of a Patroller

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be at least 18 yrs. of age
  • Hold a valid G license
  • Strong Intermediate skier / snowboarder (able to ski all shifts and areas of the resort)
  • Must possess excellent employee and public relations skills and be of a friendly and cooperative nature
  • Must have previous Patrol and customer service experience
  • Will be energetic, and dependable
  • Must be able to reason and react with quick, thoughtful judgment while remaining calm under pressure
  • Must be able and willing to work in a physically demanding outdoor environment
  • Must be responsible and able to lead and direct the work of others
  • Knowledge of resort is an asset
  • Must be able and willing to work in a physically demanding outdoor environment
  • Successful applicants will be required to complete a criminal background check (vulnerable sector)
