    QUALITY LAB OPERATOR

    CGC Inc. is currently recruiting for a Quality Lab Operator for our gypsum plant, based in Hagersville, Ontario.

    It's a permanent and full-time position, offering a challenging opportunity for a motivated individual to demonstrate their skills and abilities in a manufacturing operation within a large corporation.

    Under the guidance of the Quality Supervisor, the Quality Lab Operator conducts the daily job functions in one of the various positions within the Quality department.

    Additional responsibilities of the Quality Lab Operator include:

    · Performing accurate product testing as outlined in the department procedural manuals.

    · Recognizing and reacting to adverse trends, off spec material, or poor product performance characteristics on manufactured products.

    · Assisting in the implementation of USG Model Programs, Safety Rules, VWIs/JSAs and Standard Operating Procedures, as required.

    · Exercising personal safety, promote and enforce safety among crew members.

    · The successful candidate will be given opportunities to be trained on the additional operator rate positions in the department as skill and ability is gained.

    Qualifications:

    · High School Diploma

    · Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

    · Strong analytical skills to provide timely test data to various production departments.

    · Must be comfortable in dealing with third party inspectors, corporate quality and company sales associates.

    · Demonstrates problem-solving skills and the ability to work as a team.

    · Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

    · Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

    · Strong computer skills, including Outlook, Word, MS Access and Excel are required.

    · Must be a people and results-oriented individual who incorporates and emphasizes safety and quality in all aspects of the daily work environment.

    Please note: This is a 12-hour position with rotating shifts.

    Hourly wage: $29.02

    Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
