Medical Office Assistant Position at a Family Practice in Pitt Meadows, BC
Position Type:
Full-Time (4 days/week)
Join our dedicated healthcare team as a detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant.
In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring seamless operations and delivering exceptional patient care within our busy family practice.
Key Requirements:
- Prior experience in a medical clinic.
- MOA certificate.
- OSCAR EMR experience is a plus.
Responsibilities:
Front Desk:
- Manage phone systems and confidently handle patient inquiries.
- Schedule and manage appointments.
- Handle referrals and tasks using OSCAR EMR.
Running Rooms Assistance:
- Greet and escort patients to examination rooms.
- Perform height and weight measurements for infants and adults.
- Prepare for procedures such as pap smears and excisions.
- Conduct pregnancy tests, urinary tract infection screenings, and drug tests.
Administrative Tasks:
- Scan and import results into patient charts.
- E-Fax prescriptions.
- Manage thirdparty requests, including insurance companies, lawyers, and chart transfers.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from a recognized MOA program.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
- Strong interpersonal skills with colleagues, office manager, and physicians.
- Compassionate and patientcentric approach.
- Proactive with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication skills.

$18.00-$22.00 per hour
