Description:
As a Medical Laboratory Assistant I, you will provide high quality service to clients of the clinical laboratory in an effective, efficient and safe manner. You will be responsible for a variety of laboratory functions including procurement, handling, processing, dispatching and testing of specimens, performing procedures and reporting results.
Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.Successful completion of internal/external Laboratory Assistant program.Participates in continuing education and training to maintain current knowledge.Demonstrates excellent organizational, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on client service and public relations.Maintains professionalism at all times.Performs repetitive duties efficiently and accurately.Experience or training performing electrocardiograms (ECGs).
Preferred Qualifications:Experience in a PSC or Community Hospital Laboratory within the last 2 years is preferred.
