Description
This position is responsible for keeping our Club in pristine condition for our members and their guests. It is a very large facility so there is never down-time and always something to do. Our Team is a very social, friendly Team. Additionally, our members are extremely friendly and welcoming which makes employment here quite enjoyable and rewarding.

Although not an exhaustive list, some requirements of the job are as follows:

  • Previous custodian/janitorial experience is an asset.
  • Good communication skills
  • Laundry services (collecting, washing, and drying of Club towels)
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Cleaning of court surfaces (mopping squash courts, sweeping tennis courts with our walkbehind sweeper)
  • Physical ability to perform all aspects of the job.
  • Responsible for all basic cleaning in the Club (vacuuming, mopping, dusting, glass/mirror cleaning, etc.)
  • Cleaning locker room showers, saunas, steam room, and whirlpools
  • Clean locker rooms and washrooms, including restocking dispensers, emptying trash, cleaning, and sanitizing fixtures, cleaning mirrors, spot cleaning doors and walls, sweeping and mopping tile floors, and cleaning toilets and urinals.
  • Picking up any trash and emptying the trash bins inside and outside.
  • Sets up, stocks, and maintains cleaning equipment and supplies.
  • Responding to employee or member requests.
  • Assists other departments when needed to ensure optimum service.
  • Seek out areas requiring cleaning; take initiative to complete the task.
  • Perform additional duties as needed.

Salary:
$15.50-$18.00 per hour

  • Waterloo, ON N2L 5J3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:


  • Cleaning: 1 year (preferred)
- janitorial: 1 year (preferred)

  • Driving Licence (preferred)
