Cleaner (Part-time) - Victoria, Canada - Island Veterinary Eye Specialist

We are currently seeking a Cleaner to join our team. As a Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and tidiness in various facilities. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work independently.


Duties:

• Perform custodial duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting
• Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies
• Processing surgical instruments for autoclave
• Delinting and processing surgical laundry
• Folding non surgical laundry (blankets and hand towels)
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly
• Operate power tools and hand tools to perform cleaning tasks
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed
• Follow established cleaning protocols and safety guidelines
• Adhere to proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals
• 4⁄5 days are in clinic, 1⁄5 days are in an office

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in commercial cleaning or hospital cleaning is preferred
• Strong time management skills to complete tasks efficiently
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to attend work regularly

Job Types:
Part-time, Permanent


Pay:
$18.75-$21.46 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
