Job Description:


Responsibilities Include:

  • Purchase goods, materials, components or services in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets
  • Support the purchasing function and other relevant departments and communicate supply problems which may impact business
  • Act as an interface between suppliers and other relevant departments on purchasing processes
  • Monitor and advise on any issues which present risk or opportunity
  • Skills and Qualifications:
  • 2+ years relevant experience in procurement or materials sourcing
  • Excellent computer skills, able to use Microsoft Office
  • Experience with ERP systems: SAP knowledge an advantage
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, complex problem solving skills, selfstarter with good understanding of business controls
  • Organized, selfmotivated, ability to work both independently and within a team
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Creative and resourceful
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with people professionally
  • Strong time management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
  • Provide analysis on costs, and review cost reduction activities
  • Prepare reports and updates as necessary
  • Source suppliers as required
  • Resolve shipment and invoice discrepancies
  • Manage vendor communication related to quality, coordinate RMAs ensuring departments receive key information to process transactions
  • Ensure accuracy of data in SAP, data entry as required
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

Work location:
According to Teledyne policy and work requirements. Predominantly in office with opportunity for 1 day work from home unless policy changes.
