Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with a specialty in Emergency Room (ER) nursing for a travel position in Kentville, Nova Scotia.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of experience in an emergency department setting.


Responsibilities:

Provide expert nursing care to patients in the emergency room setting, adhering to established protocols and standards of care.

Assess patients' conditions and prioritize care based on acuity level.
Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as ordered by healthcare providers.
Perform triage assessments and collaborate with the healthcare team to determine appropriate patient disposition.
Respond to medical emergencies and provide critical interventions as needed.
Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and thoroughly.


Qualifications:
Current RN licensure in Nova Scotia preferred, but other licensure accepted
Minimum of 4 years of experience in an emergency room setting.
Certification in Emergency Nursing (CEN) preferred.
Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to remain calm and focused in high-stress situations.
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
