The
Human Resources Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the HR department to ensure the efficient functioning of the business.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the employment life cycle, including sourcing, interviewing, selecting and coordinating with hiring managers. Attention to detail and accuracy is crucial.
- Handle employee relations matters, such as internal investigations, performance and corrective actions, and update policies and procedures, as approved by Regional HR Management.
- Lead and manage direct HR support staff, offer guidance to employees, and recommend professional development opportunities.
- Stay uptodate on industry trends and complete additional training, attending local professional society events.
- Maintain professional relationships with local emergency agencies to develop and test site emergency evacuation programs.
- Facilitate training on leadership principles, organizational protocols, processes, and standards.
- Manage local payroll processes, including auditing and ensuring the overall accuracy of payroll.
- Ensure compliance with regulations, laws, and guidelines set by federal, provincial and state governments.
- Oversee and maintain the site's compensation packages, ensuring they are competitive with other similar businesses in the local market.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of monthly headcount and HR activity reports.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred, and completion of CPHR coursework or certification is beneficial.
- 5+ years of experience as a Human Resources professional with proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- Experience with a Canadian employer, in a manufacturing union environment, and in payroll and benefits administration, is required.

Pay:
$85,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
