L'Arche Canada and l'Association des Arches du Québec is seeking a Regional Leader for Quebec**L'Arche, a life shared by people with and without intellectual disabilities. The Association des Arches du Québec (AAQ) is an organization comprised of eight communities across the province. The AAQ is affiliated with L'Arche Canada which is part of the International Federation of L'Arche. The Quebec communities are committed to promoting belonging and inclusion for the people they support and contribute to building a more humane society.

Role of the Regional Leader

Accompany, supervise and evaluate the communities in the region.
Formulate provincial development and funding policies in consultation with community leaders and board chairs.
Ensure unity and promote solidarity and sharing experience among communities of the region, with other regions in Canada and with the International Federation.
Lead the regional council.
Actively participate in the National Leadership Team.

Role Requirements

Five years of experience in the area of community organizations serving people with intellectual disabilities.
University degree in psychoeducation, social work, organizational management, or another related field.
Demonstrated experience and skills in building development strategies and political advocacy.
Excellent written and oral French; knowledge of English would be an asset.
Proven interpersonal skills.
Availability to travel frequently throughout the province and across Canada.

This is a full-time position (40 hours/week)

The position can be carried out on a telecommuting basis with some travel.
