The Guarding Technician position at Belt Conveyor Guarding offers a unique opportunity.

Our technicians travel frequently to various locations across all of North America and occasionally beyond to visit client sites, assess the risk associated with leaving equipment unguarded, and take measurements for new custom guards.

Job duties include:

Visiting customer sites and assess guarding equipment, take measurements and photos.
Meeting with customers to determine project scope and promote products and services.
Relay information to the design team for timely completion of product drawings for estimating and manufacture.
Provide onsite technical support for product installation.
Ability to accurately construct conceptual drawings to be interpreted by the design team.
Must be fully vaccinated to travel outside of Canada.
Typical schedule is one week of travel (M-F) followed by one week in the office (M-F).
Salary is based on a 40hour work week.
All expenses covered while travelling.
Company vehicle supplied upon completion of training period.

Required Skills:

Technical background would be an asset along with experience taking accurate, reliable measurements.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Detail oriented with excellent communication skills.
Able to interact with customers in a friendly and sincere manner.
Ability to relay information accurately by free hand drawing with corresponding measurements.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to work independently with no supervision.
Must be willing to travel extensively throughout North America and beyond.
Must be able to present a clean driver's abstract and a valid passport.
Computer experience an asset.
