    General ManagerLocation:
    Kingston, ON


    Reporting to the Executive Vice-President and COO, the General Manager is responsible to oversee the entire hotel and operational aspects involved on the day to day basis.

    The General Manager is responsible to lead the team and ensure the hotel delivers an excellent guest experience and achieves profitability.


    Job Description:
    Oversee all hotels operations and employeesHold regular meetings with all department heads/managersEnsure full compliance of policies and procedures, including brand standardsLead all projects including sales initiatives, redesigns, customer service and follows HR initiativesHandling complaints & overlooking service recovery proceduresWork closely with Sales Manager to attract and satisfy new and existing clientsEnsure all meetings held at the property are safely and properly executedResponsible for preparing & presenting annual budget and marketing planReview & managing monthly revenues of the hotelApprove & verify monthly expensesEnsure all decisions made are in the best interest of the hotelReview & understand monthly financial statementsEnsure all property maintenance issues are solved in a timely and cost effect mannerReview daily reports and adjust property action plan accordinglyEnsure proper yield managementAble to procure operating supplies & equipment, along with contracting with third-party vendors for essential services & suppliesCoordinate and communicate closely with all department heads/managersBe accountable for responsibilities of department headProvide leadership to all hotel employeesConduct self-audits to identify problems and continuously improveCommunicate with Head Office and Regional Managers


    Skills and qualifications:


    The best-suited candidate would have at least 5 to 10 years experience in the hospitality industry, specifically in a management position.

    With outstanding leadership skills and willing to have hands-on experience at the hotel. Available to work coverage when needed, including weekends, holidays and nights.
