Role Responsibilities:


Are you passionate about Early Childhood Education and Development? If so, we have an opportunity for you The Child Care Delivery Division is currently seeking for a Licensing Officer Supervisor to join their team across the province.


In this role you will provide support, direction and consultation to a team of Licensing Officers and ensure that services are delivered in accordance with accepted practices and guidelines prescribed by Ministerial policies, procedures and legislation.


Join us and utilize your expertise in collaboration and community engagement to support childcare programs to meet compliance with legislative mandates and standards.

Your leadership will be pivotal in the delivery of a strength based approach to enhance quality child care and to meet children's safety, well-being and development.

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Social Work, Early Childhood Education or related field and 2 years related experience.

Equivalencies may be considered as listed below:

  • Master of Social Work and 1 year related experience;
  • Diploma in Social Work or Early Childhood Education and 5 years related experience; OR
  • Related certificate in Social Work or Early Childhood Education and 6 years related experience.

Position requirements:


  • Knowledge and experience with the Early Learning and Child Care Act and Early Learning and Child Care.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience in the child care or human services field.
  • Valid Alberta Drivers Licence and access to reliable vehicle as the role requires travel.

Work location in Red Deer is located in Bishop Place, Street, Red Deer, Alberta T4N1X4. Hybrid work arrangement can be considered.

This role also requires that you have a valid Class 5 Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle.
