What does the job entail?

  • Perform quality assurance testing of all manufactured products as per the requirements of the quality manual.
  • Oversee the instrumental measurement of colour and the accurate communication to production.
  • Be competent in all the QA procedures and be able to fill in as the backup person for the QA department.
  • Liaise with factory production manager and provide technical support regarding pigments, colour adjustments during manufacturing process.
  • Prepare samples for sample requisitions when requested.
  • Interpret and implement QA standards, in concert with Laboratory Standards, as set out.
  • Review the implementation and efficiency of quality and inspection systems
  • Plan, conduct and monitor testing and inspection of silicone and vendor materials and products to ensure finished product quality
  • Coordinate and support onsite audits conducted by external providers
  • Assists in document management systems
  • Assure ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements
  • Assists and contributes to R&D experiments when required.
  • Actively promotes the visions, mission and core values, as it pertains to the laboratory function.
  • ISO Management including making updates to documents, performing internal audits and record keeping

Qualifications:


  • A Diploma or Degree or Certificate in Chemistry
  • 36 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong analytical skills supported with welldeveloped written and oral communication skills
  • A selfstarter with proven experience in a role requiring decision making
  • A collaborative team player with the ability to act as an internal consultant
