E-Commerce Manager - J.A.K. Appliance Group, May 2023


As the E-Commerce Manager you are responsible in a support role for sales, promotional andmarketing initiatives for accounts that have an online presence.


This will include:

  • Liaison with buyers and other team members to ensure E-Commerce accounts are in order and fully optimized.
  • Ensure that promotions are submitted on time, that promotions go "live", and that costing is accurate and profitable.
  • Coordinate with the Sales Manager and/or Business Development Manager to organize and implement the sales and promotional budgets with retailers.
  • Assist in new account set-up including vendor agreements and the on-boarding of new products.
  • Ensuring website content is accurate with correct products, images, content, pricing, and informing the buyer of any inaccuracies.
  • Understanding the add-on opportunities provided by e-Commerce retailers and recommending promotional tactics via these add-on opportunities.
  • Monitor sales, inventory and forecasting reports on a weekly basis to ensure sales are on target and inventory is available for all accounts.
  • Understanding how E-Commerce Algorithms work and implementing an optimization plan.
  • Liaise with Marketing to ensure that marketing and sales initiatives are aligned.
This position reports directly to the President and Vice-President of the company.

The position requires a self-directed and self-motivated manager who works well in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.

This role assists with developing breakout sales tactics to drive growth for our brands in our retailer-to-consumer digital and brick & mortar channels.


Skills, Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Have a detailed understanding of all the targeted Retail Digital and Ecommerce channels: Wayfair, Home Depot, Walmart and Lowe's; how to best utilize them, maintain them.
  • Identify growth opportunities and collaborate with the team to develop new opportunities/ platforms/channels to fruition.
  • Oversee the day-to-day management of channel activity, continually testing & optimizing our spend & mix of on-line activities to hit business objectives.
  • Must have at least 2-3 years hands-on experience with Wayfair, Home Depot, Walmart or Lowe's digital sales channels and E-Commerce and know how to navigate within those channels to best optimize product sales. You understand how these retail platforms work and can navigate your way through all their unique capabilities and opportunities.
  • Must be proactive, highly detail oriented and organized and possess strong organizational and time management skills, ability to multi-task and deadline oriented.
  • Competency with MS Office including Excel required.
  • Comfortable working with budgets and numbers, with an ability to organize data, interpret metrics and identify trends.
  • Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple customers, project priorities and forecasts.

Education and Attitude:


  • Degree in Digital Marketing preferable

Location:

This is a hybrid remote part time opportunity. Approx 20 hours per week. At least 1 day at the office per week.


Compensation:

$40-50k per annum. 2 weeks PTO.
