  • Job SummaryReporting to the Executive Director, the Director, Strategic Human Resources establishes and maintains collaborative partnerships with executive and senior managers to ensure human resource best practices are incorporated into program and business decisions. The Director is responsible for providing strategic advice and consultation and partnering with ministry clients to meet their business priorities and goals.

Job Requirements:


  • A diploma in business, public administration, organization development, human resources, or related field,
    and seven (7) years of progressively responsible human resource experience*;
    OR:
  • An undergraduate degree in business, public administration, organization development, human resources, or related field,
    and five (5) years of progressively responsible human resource experience*;
    OR:
  • A master's degree in business, public administration, organization development, human resources, or related field,
    and three (3) years of progressively responsible human resource experience*.
  • Related experience must include at least three (3) years in each of the following:
  • Experience leading organizational design projects and providing advice and direction to executive and senior managers regarding change management strategies.
  • Experience in a management role leading the design, development, implementation and evaluation of programs.
  • Experience establishing collaborative relationships with senior leaders, internal and external clients and partners in support of organizational goals.
  • Experience leading and coaching diverse work teams in the development and implementation of a diverse range of projects. Experience aligning strategic human resource planning with strategic business planning, translating business needs and capability requirements into strategies and initiatives.
  • Certification in organizational design or change management.
  • More than three (3) years' experience leading organizational design projects and providing advice and direction to executive and senior managers regarding change management strategies.
  • Three (3) or more years' experience providing advice and expertise on recruitment strategies to executive/senior management.
  • Three (3) or more years' experience providing advice and expertise on job design, classification, and management exclusions to management.
