We are currently looking to hire a
Production Supervisor to join our 75,000 sq ft bakery manufacturing fresh and frozen products in Etobicoke.

This exciting role requires a hands-on individual who is looking for a challenge and opportunity to learn, grow and make their mark.

This role will be integral to the implementation and execution of various change management and continuous improvements across the plant from the ground up including but not limited to production, sanitation, quality control, maintenance, health & safety and warehousing activities.

The Position Responsibilities are as follows: #LI-Onsite #LI-RM- Develop, lead and coach associates through effective training and recognition. Direct hourly associates for the efficient operation of the facility.

  • Drive key performance indicators for area of responsibility (line speeds, efficiency, waste, labor costs, compliance to schedule etc.)
  • Play a key role in the development and maintenance of a safety culture. Ensure effective implementation and maintenance of the Company's safety program by utilizing best practices in safety leadership (orientation, training, observation, correction, positive reinforcement). Involvement in safety audits, identification of hazards and corrections, and other preventative approaches.
  • Execute accident investigations in a timely and accurate fashion and carry out any follow up required as a result of the investigation.
  • Active involvement and leadership in the implementation and execution of continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work in partnership with the Maintenance department to assist in prevention / rectification of breakdowns.
  • Work in partnership with the Quality Assurance department to prevent and resolve any quality issues. Ensure adherence to all quality requirements including GMP's, HACCP, SOP's, specifications etc.
  • Communicates with all shift associates and work groups providing information and instruction as needed to address problems and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Any other recognized responsibilities assigned by Production Manager.

Job Requirements:


  • 3 to 5 years' experience in food processing or manufacturing experience in a related industry with a minimum of 2 years supervisory experience.
  • University degree or diploma, preferably in engineering or operations management.
  • Formal technical baking education preferred (AIB).
  • Willing to continuously learn and embrace change.
  • Effective communication skills for training and leading associates in a multicultural environment.
  • Must have a flexible schedule in order to work afternoon and graveyard shifts as well as weekends.
  • Proficient computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word) and problemsolving aptitude.
  • Resultsoriented team player.
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards, regulations, supervisory responsibilities and best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to schedule associates and production shifts within a multishift environment.
