SUMMARY


The Test Technician Associate (ICT/FP Operator) is responsible for operating the ICT (In Circuit Testing) and the (FP) Flyer Probe machines, including troubleshooting as required.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain the test schedule and coordinate with supervisors and other leaders to meet delivery schedules.
  • Perform assigned production steps as per work instructions.
  • Ensure housekeeping and proper 5S (i.e. organizing, cleanliness, sorted, safety, etc.) is maintained at all times.
  • Handle and store materials/boards using approved handling and electrostatic sensitive devices (ESD) guidelines.
  • Will require occasional physical demands such as lifting of objects no more than 20 pounds at a time.
  • Incumbent will be accommodating and flexible to other departments as business requirements dictate, and/or may be required to perform other duties within the job or production needs as assigned by his/her supervisor, manager or designate.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

  • Good knowledge of electronic assemblies including through hole and SMT components, Schematics and BOMs (Bill of Materials).
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using digital multimeter, oscilloscope and other related test equipment.
  • Able to read values and correct polarity of Surface Mount components.
  • Solid knowledge of quality systems and ESD control.
  • Familiar with IPC standards with respect to PCB repair.
  • Good work habits and housekeeping.
  • Experience with IPC Standards and ISO 9002 would be helpful.

EDUCATION

  • Certificate or Diploma in Electronics or enrolled in a technical school is nice to have but not mandatory.
  • Lean Manufacturing knowledge an asset.

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

  • ESD and ISO Awareness Training.

LOCATION

  • The position location is based in Markham, Ontario facilities (Building A and/or Building B).
  • Incumbent must be open to working at both facilities as business and operational needs dictate.

WORK HOURS

  • Normal scheduled hours of work: 11:00 PM 7:00 AM, Night Shift.
