Parts Shipper/Receiver/Dispatcher

The Shipper & Receiver first and foremost responsibility is to serve our customers (internal and external) timley, accurate and efficient manner.

This position requires organization, rapid reprioritization, attention to detail.

The Shipper & Receiver is a critical link to ensure we receive & ship the products that are expected, on time and in good condition.

This is a dynamic position, working as a collaborative team is a must. Multi
- tasking and constantly shifting priorities will be a constant challenge, but the expectation will be that the following functions are performed at a high level.


Shipper/Receiver Duties include, but may not be limited to:

• Load & offload freight in a safe & efficient manner
• Confirm piece count once a shipment is loaded / offloaded to ensure accuracy
• When receiving product, offload & inspect items before signing any carrier paperwork.
• If discrepancy is found on inbound freight, indicate details on the carrier

BOL & alert management.

• Obtain signed carrier documentation for all inbound and outbound transactions
• Support packaging, primarily for yard or bulk items, for shipment preparation
• Accurately pick the correct items to match the shipment paperwork
• Ensure all parts and other items are package safely for damage free transportation.
• Experience & ability to use a forklift, pallet jack, and hand carts.

Dispatch:

• Dispatch 56 drivers daily.
• Coordinate daily runs/deliveries
• Be aware of the location of drivers/trucks at all times.
• Monitor and respond professionally to drivers on radio.
• Safely and efficiently perform assigned processes to meet the required daily logistics activities.
• Assist drivers with routing directions, delivery issues and communicating service requirements.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Previous experience shipping, logistics, or other related fields is preferred, but not a must. We are willing to train.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Coquitlam, BC V3K 1P2: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Forklift Licence (preferred)
