    Position: SHOP FOREMAN

    Monster Industries

    Location: New Facility in Terrace BC

    Salary: $48/hr. - $68/hr.

    Summary: Monster Industries is seeking a qualified welder and fabricator with pressure piping experience to fill the position of shop foreman at their new facility in Terrace BC. The shop foreman will be responsible for overseeing the fabrication and welding operations at the new facility. The shop foreman will ensure that the work is done according to the highest quality standards and safety regulations. The shop foreman will also manage the staff, equipment, materials, and schedules of the shop.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 5 years of experience as a welder and fabricator in the pressure piping industry.
    • Valid welding certification and pressure piping endorsement.
    • Strong knowledge of welding and fabrication techniques, codes, and standards.
    • Welding inspector certification preferred
    • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
    • Able to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
    • Background in QA/QC procedures and related deliverables required.
    • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
    • Able to work independently and as part of a team. Duties and Responsibilities
      • Supervise and coordinate the fabrication and welding activities of the shop staff.
      • Ensure that the work is done according to the quality requirements and specifications of the clients and provide information required for QC turnover documentation.
      • Ensure that the work is done according to the safety regulations and policies of the company.
      • Train and mentor shop staff on the best practices and procedures of welding and fabrication.
      • Inspect and test the completed products and components for defects and compliance.
      • Maintain and repair the shop equipment and tools.
      • Order and manage the inventory of materials and supplies.
      • Prepare and maintain the records and reports of the shop operations.
