We're not your traditional Mexican place. We just happen to think that tacos are a dish best-served fun, with a side of liquor. Welcome to The Mule, where tacos, tequila & bourbon come to party.
We are Hamilton's favourite lunch spot, regular late-night haunt, and go-to destination for a great bite & drink. Our tacos range from classic Mexican to weird-and-wild-you've-gotta-try-this.
All of our food is 100% gluten-free and we offer a variety of fare that is sure to satisfy either the most dedicated carnivore or delight your vegetarian and/or vegan side.
What's An "Other Bird"?_

The Job:_
We are looking for a new support staff member to join our team.
What is a support staff member you ask? You would wear a couple of hats including,
host, food runner, busser, barback, expo, and based on your specified role each day your responsibilities can include:
- Being passionate about delivering the best experience through attentive and friendly service
- Greeting all guests as they walk through the restaurant,
- Managing and prioritizing the restaurant waitlist, and ensuring the front door is manned effectively,
- Answering any incoming phone calls and politely answering any questions to the best of your ability,
- Ensuring food is properly presented prior to running it out to a guest,
- Delivering food to tables and ensuring guests have all they need,
- Offering assistance to guests by clearing away dishes, glassware, and refilling beverages as needed,
- Bussing and resetting tables with a sense of urgency,
- Restocking service areas throughout the shift,
- Emptying trash and spot sweeps whenever floor needs it,
- Performing opening and closing responsibilities in a timely and detailed manner,
- Offering assistance to guests by clearing away dishes, glassware, and refilling beverages as needed,
- Following all safety and sanitation policies and procedures,
- Contributing to a friendly & cooperative work environment by assisting all other team members as needed
- Receiving direction from The Mule's Management team.
IMPORTANT NOTE:_For this current hire, we are looking for someone to mainly focus on high-volume, guest facing jobs (i.e. door greeting, food running, and take out)._
- FrontofHouse restaurant experience, specifically in barbacking will be an asset.
- Late Night availability (we are open until 2AM every day of the week) is required.
- Weekend availability (Saturday & Sunday) is required.
- Smart Serve Certification is required.
