About the Role:


As the Manager, Clinical Quality, you will manage and lead a team of clinicians and staff to support the development and implementation of an FNHA clinical quality framework, methodology and processes across all programs in the Office of the Chief Nursing Officer and regional nursing operations.

The Manager, Clinical Quality leads the monitoring, review, and development of responses to quality care and safety issues, including leading critical incident reviews.

The Manager, Clinical Quality leads a team of clinical quality staff and partners with other Quality leaders to ensure alignment and synergy in organizational strategic directions and priorities.


About You:

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Master's Degree in Nursing, including 8 years of related experience in quality improvement and safety and leadership, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • San'yas Indigenous Cultural Safety training
  • Currently or eligible to be registered with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM), or relevant professional regulatory body
  • Knowledge of, and ability to apply, an understanding of First Nations cultural principles to the work.
  • Significant, recent and relevant experience in health care services management (usually acquired over a period of 5 years or more)
  • Significant, recent and relevant experience in quality improvement development, implementation and evaluation in a health system (usually acquired over a period of 3 years or more)
  • Experience in developing frameworks, strategies, methodologies and communication tools
  • Experience in planning, implementation and evaluation of client experience programs
  • Understanding and sensitivity to the critical issues and opportunities for First Nations health in BC
