JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities

Review and evaluate cost estimates
Prepare estimates of costs based on contract bids, quotations, drawings and specifications
Maintaining the tendering process
Understand scope of work to bid
Prepare cost analysis
Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers and subcontractors
Liase, consult and communicate with engineers, owners, architects, and subcontractors
Manage and coordinate construction projects and preparing construction progress schedules may also be required
Must represent Vestacon in a professional manner at all times

QUALIFICATIONS

35 years experience in construction estimating (office interior specific experience an asset)
Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Architectural Science, Civil Engineering, Applied Science, Accounting or other constructionrelated field an asset
Ability to read construction drawings and develop cost estimates is required
Strong understanding of commercial interior renovation/construction process
Proficiency with MS Word and Excel
Ability to multitask, work well independently and meet strict deadlines
Selfmotivated with strong work ethics.
Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, analytical and problem solving skills, decisionmaking skills, stress and time management skills, as well as excellent team building/ leadership skills.
Full (G) driver's licence required
