First Nations University of Canada seeks to have an ongoing transformative impact through education based on a foundation of Indigenous Knowledges.

First Nations University of Canada is situated on Treaty 4 Territory, the original lands of the Cree, Saulteaux, Dakota, Lakota, Nakoda, and homeland of the Me tis Nation.

The Regina campus is situated on the atim ka -mihkosit (Red Dog) Urban Reserve, Star Blanket Cree Nation and Treaty 4 Territory.

Star Blanket is the first First Nation in Canada to create an urban reserve specifically dedicated to the advancement of education.

With campuses in Regina, Saskatoon and Prince Albert, First Nations University of Canada provides an opportunity for students of all nations to learn in an environment of First Nations cultures and values.

First Nations University of Canada is a federated college of the University of Regina, and its academic programs are accredited through that institution.

The University maintains an average annual enrollment of over 3,000 students.

In addition, over 30,000 learners have made the University part of their educational journey through undergraduate degrees, diplomas and certificates in Business, Indigenous Education, Indigenous Social Work, Indigenous Health, Science, Indigenous Languages, Linguistics, Arts and Fine Arts.

The University also offers graduate programs such as Master of Indigenous Social Work, Master of Arts with specialization in Indigenous Languages/ Linguistics, and a Master of Indigenous Education.

Reporting to the President, and as a member of the University's executive team, the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) works collaboratively to provide broad leadership across the institution, including developing, implementing, and monitoring strategic objectives, organizational priorities, and the budget process including long-term operating and capital budgets.

They will have oversight responsibility for a portfolio that includes facilities management, human resources, information technology, art collection, and the daycare, ensuring all areas support the mission and goals of the University.

This service and solutions focussed leader will promote a work environment of innovation, accountability, and integrity, and engage with external stakeholders and government in support of the University's long-term sustainability.

The CAO will play a supportive role in shaping the University's strategic direction and advancing its mission, which includes fostering and engaging First Nations and 'Western' knowledge traditions in a balanced, meaningful, and respectful way.
