We are searching for an experienced Axle Welder / Order Picker at our Milton facility.

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable, safety-conscious Axle Welder to join our
truck and trailer operations in Ontario. This is a full-time position combining
part-time axle welding with order preparation, warehouse, and shop support
duties. Welding tasks will be assigned based on workload, so flexibility and
willingness to assist with other operational duties are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Axle Welding (As Required)
Perform
MIG welding on truck and trailer axle assemblies, brackets, spring
seats, hangers, and other structural components
Repair
and modify axles and suspension components as required
Inspect
completed welds to ensure strength, accuracy, and compliance with quality
and safety standards
Read and
interpret drawings, measurements, and work orders
Set up,
align, and tack components prior to welding
Order Preparation & Warehouse / Shop Support
Pick,
stage, and prepare parts and materials for internal or customer orders
Verify
order accuracy using work orders and packing slips
Assist
with loading and unloading trucks and trailers using proper material
handling practices
Organize
and maintain inventory and stock levels
Maintain
a clean, safe, and organized shop and warehouse environment
Provide
general assistance to shop staff as required
Safety & Compliance
Work in
compliance with the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and company safety policies
Properly
use and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE)
Participate
in safety training, toolbox talks, and hazard reporting
Report
unsafe conditions, incidents, or near misses immediately
Qualifications & Requirements
Welding
experience in truck, trailer, axle, or heavy-duty fabrication
environments
Proficiency
in MIG welding; FCAW or other welding certifications an asset
Ability
to read and interpret drawings, measurements, and work instructions
WHMIS
training required (or willingness to complete)
CSA-approved
safety footwear required
Ability
to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work
Forklift
experience and license required
Preferred Qualifications
CWB
welding certification
Red Seal
Welder or apprenticeship completion
Experience
with suspension systems and axle alignment
Work Environment
Heavy-duty
shop and warehouse setting
Working
hours from 8am to 5pm Mondays through Fridays
Exposure
to welding fumes, noise, steel materials, and heavy equipment
Mandatory
use of PPE at all times
