The

Deeply knowledgeable about agile product development approaches, the CDIO leads the development of a clear blueprint for digital health in BC, governs the portfolio of digital investments across PHSA and the health sector, and provides leadership of product management capabilities.

Leads the allocation of technical product development resources across the PDHIS portfolio, and the development of targeted transformational digital products and solutions.

Further, the CDIO leads the team dedicated to building a consistent enterprise architecture from a business and technical standpoint across the organization, and the health sector.

This role collaborates closely and is a partner to other senior leaders within the PDHIS portfolio, including the Provincial Digital Solutions and Regional Digital Solutions teams.

The Chief Digital Innovation Officer is a creative, big-picture, future-thinking change agent that can collaborate with a variety of senior executives across the sector to develop a clear vision, strategy and roadmap supporting PHSA's provincial mandate and the development of accessible, sustainable healthcare across the province, and leads the transformation to a digitally enabled health system.

What you'll do
***- Works as an executive-level leader of PHSA and as a key member of the PDHIS senior leadership team to further the mission, vision, and values of the organization to translate into planning and actionable objectives for PDHIS by supporting the integration of all service lines across all PHSA programs. In collaboration with the EVP, and the Executive Leadership Team as appropriate, develops and implements organizational strategic objectives. Leads enterprise architecture capabilities across PHSA.

Develops and implements an overarching digital strategy for the health sector and across PHSA, in collaboration with other senior leaders within PHSA and other health authorities. Defines the clinical and business system strategies for the sector to inform and guide investment decisions and technology operations. Develops the portfolio's annual operational business plan to align with the annual PHSA Service Plan, and has stewardship over the mapping of digital assets to strategic goals that are essential to accomplish the overall strategic direction, objectives and actions of PHSA and its mandate.
Implements a sectorwide commercial approach for digital and technology investments that is transparent, aligns with sector priorities and drives one system of care. Addresses organizational technology debt in a prioritized approach and ensures PHSA's technology environment remains current, relevant and nimble over the long term through the support of strategy leadership. Provides leadership for digital product management capabilities within PHSA, and provides technical resources (e.g., product developers, solution architects, testers, UI/UX designers) to support product teams and projects across the PDHIS portfolio.
Develops and oversees the management of enterprise business and technical architectural strategy. Oversees the development of enterprise technology standards, governance processes and performance metrics to ensure Information Technology delivers value to the enterprise.
Provides strategic consultation to the Executive team and executivelevel colleagues, and makes recommendation for future strategic directions. Develops, coordinates, integrates and directs PHSA's Digital Health policies and processes to develop the future vision, direction and goals for the PHSA.
Oversees all aspects of human resource management within their portfolio. Provides leadership and supervision including assessment of performance, financial management, and operations. Recruits staff and maintains an organizational structure for the portfolio that provides the highest level of quality service within budget parameters.
