What we are looking for:
2 or more years of bookkeeping and payroll experience.

Accounting/Bookkeeping certificate from a program of 1-2 years.

Experience using Quickbooks Online is an asset.

Highly detailed-oriented with attention to accuracy.

Committed to confidentiality, honesty and integrity.

Excellent time management, multitasking, and analytical skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Desire to learn, improve and to take on new responsibilities.

Ability to solve problems and identify solutions.

Full-cycle bookkeeping support and payroll processing for overall operations.

Prepare, process and post receipts, deposits, purchases, payables, receivables, and other standard bookkeeping tasks.

Prepare monthly reconciliations for bank and credit cards.

Prepare, report, and pay remittances (e.g., WorkSafeBC, GST, Employer Health Tax).

Reconcile inter-company accounts.

Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting.

Manage payroll off-boarding, vacation payout, and record of employment.

Process bi-weekly payroll.

Maintain staff listing in accounting software.

Maintaining staff files, including time sheet monitoring, vacation, and sick day records, other taxable benefits.

Process yearly employee T4's.

Administer benefits.

Research, track, restore or resolve payroll problems, discrepancies and disputes; and leave detailed documentation.

Act as the point of contact among executives, employees, clients and other external partners.

Manage executives' calendars and set up meetings.

Make travel and accommodation arrangements.

Act as an office manager by keeping up with office supply inventory.

Take minutes during meetings and

Screen and direct phone calls.

Excellent MS Office knowledge.

Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

Other Duties as needed, or as directed by the President.

Salary:
$50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
