    YOUR IMPACT

    This individual is a results-oriented, dynamic, creative, engaging, and values-driven Learning professional who will be accountable for designing, developing, and implementing learning solutions across our global organization. This includes front-line manager programs, leadership development programs, digital learning solutions, and business enablement in partnership with the HR Partner Organization. The focus will be on practical 'real time" interventions, skills building, and contributing to the learning and development team as we support OpenText's growth strategy. The Learning and Development function should be both a strategic partner and an execution engine for the business. Close collaboration with business leaders, thought experts and subject matter experts will be critical in this role to support ongoing skill development through various avenues and for all OpenText employees, and our managers in particular. The role will also play a critical role in leading end-to-end initiatives, including the instructional design, project management, stakeholder management, facilitation of pilots and implementation.

    WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS

    • Provide support and guidance to business Leaders and HR Business Partners on learning needs/solutions

    • Conduct needs assessments by identifying business requirements, scoping out key design/development solutions, and balancing recommendations with a real-world pragmatic approach

    • Engage with HR Business Partners and business leaders/stakeholders to understand learning needs and subject complexities

    • Collaborate with business teams to design, develop, and implement high-quality learning in a blended environment (eLearning, classroom training, self-study)

    • Lead the creative design of learning and development deliverables, including design documents, storyboards, Rise eLearning, videos, PDF guides, classroom training, leader briefing sessions, etc.

    • Facilitate or partner in the delivery of innovative learning solutions in both a virtual and in-person environment

    • Maintain current knowledge of best practices in adult learning theory, instructional design practices, and learning technology delivery solutions and keep current with innovative trends

    • Vet the quality of vendor partners and manage vendor relationships and projects, including managing appropriate internal experts and approvals

    WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

    • 10+ years' experience in a senior-level role, building and executing the learning strategy and/or learning function within a firm

    • Experience driving the delivery & implementation of innovative learning & development initiatives (digital and classroom-based)

    • Experience leading large-scale projects, programs, and deliverables with a sizable impact

    • Experience partnering with key stakeholders (HRBP's, Business unit leaders, etc.)

    • Strong business acumen - ability to link learning to business outcomes in a real-world way

    • Ability to thrive in a company and industry of constant change

    • An undergraduate degree is required; a Master's degree in a related discipline is an asset.
