General Body & Equipment (GBE) is looking to grow our
Shipping & Receiving Team. We are looking for a dedicated, detail oriented individual to enhance our operations and efficiency within this vital area of our organization.
GBE is a privately owned Alberta based company which has been building the best custom work trucks on the road for 40 years.
We are a dynamic organization of over 100 employees in Edmonton and we are all dedicated to providing superior service to our wide variety of customers.
What your day may look like:
Shipping/Receiving Duties:
- Receive incoming shipments and check contents against purchase orders; verify accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure all items received match invoices, packing slips, and delivery documents
- Inspects incoming goods for damages, defects, or other issues and reports any discrepancies to the appropriate parties.
- Input received product accurately into ERP System.
- Ensures all necessary documents; Packing Slips, Waybills, and Invoices associated with Purchase Order are captured in ERP System.
- Record receipt of materials into the inventory tracking system (Cage HQ) accurately; W/O#, PO#, GBE#, staged location and brief part description.
- Organize incoming WIP parts in the Cage, ensuring that they are easily accessible and properly labeled.
- Place stock items in their assigned locations.
- Stock shelves within different departments with incoming shop supplies from Vallen, Edmonton Nut and Bolt, and Walectric.
- Perform additional duties including local pickup of parts from vendors in a safe and timely manner.
- Ensuring cleanliness, tidiness and safety of work environment within the Cage.
Forklifting Duties:
- Order picking with forklift; Pick, pack, prepare and dispatch products as per order;
- Load and unload goods in safe manner;
- Ensured proper storage of products in the warehouse;
- Daily inspection and of forklifts and other material handling equipment;
Qualifications:
- High level of comfort with computers and technology, including MS office;
- Previous experience in warehouse required;
- Highly reliable, detail oriented, conscientious;
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fastpaced environment;
- Excellent problemsolving abilities and attention to detail;
- Excellent organizational and time management skills;
- A willingness to take on new challenges as they arise;
- Ability to perform physical activities; lifting up to 40 lbs;
- Drivers License Required;
- Forklift certification preferred;
- High school diploma and/or DEC preferred;
Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent
Salary:
$16.00-$22.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
