    Job Title: Psychologist

    The Psychologist provides comprehensive assessment and intervention services to children and youth who exhibit behavioral, emotional, developmental, mental health concerns, and other outstanding problems in functioning.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Deliver psychological assessments and consultations to children and youth.
    • Provide recommendations and treatment plans within the context of an interprofessional team.
    • Engage in clinical liaison with other agencies, community schools, and professionals.
    • Complete reports according to established standards (e.g., progress notes, assessment reports).
    • Participate in staff training and consultation.
    • Seek supervision and consultation as needed.
    • Assess group dynamics and facilitate group therapy.
    • Demonstrate knowledge of Mental Health Act, PHIPA, and Healthcare Consent Act.
    • Show creativity, resourcefulness, and ability to take initiative.
    • Knowledge of childhood trauma issues.
    • Service-specific training including Psychosocial Rehabilitation and Recovery.
    • Strong therapeutic and assessment skills.
    • Ability to work well with other professionals and community agencies.

    Qualifications:

    • A Ph.D. in Psychology is required.
    • Licence to practice in Ontario as a Psychologist or eligibility to become licensed in Ontario.
