    Classification and Salary :
    Admininstrative Support 3 (AS3) based on up to 40 hours per week:
    $ $26.81 per hour

    In addition to regular wages, regular Wage employees receive 11.2% in lieu of benefits and vacation leave:

    • 5.2 percent of regular wage earnings instead of paid holidays

    • 6 percent of regular wage earnings instead of annual vacation pay

    In addition to the regular wages and the additional pay in lieu of benefits and vacation, regular wage employees are entitled to shift premium pay:

    • $3.25 per hour for weekends and holidays

    • $2.75 per hour for evenings

    The Canmore Nordic Centre Provincial Park (CNCPP) is a world class year-round Park venue for recreational and high performance sport opportunities, operated by the Government of Alberta (GoA), via the Kananaskis Country Region's Parks Operations Division of Alberta Environment and Parks (AEP).

    The Canmore Nordic Centre (CNC) Provincial Park welcomes over 800,000 visitors per year to the site for Nordic skiing, mountain biking, hiking, weddings and events. This 4 season Provincial Parks also plays host to over 100 events annually including local, provincial, national and international events. The CNC is the host site of the National Teams and International Training for Nordic, Para Nordic and Biathlon.

    Highlights of responsibilities include but not limited to :

    Visitor Experience and Customer Services
    1 . Provide information services and reception for CNCPP, Kananaskis Country and area ;

    • Provide professional and courteous in-person, telephone, and e-mail information on recreational activities, facilities, events, ski passes, Kananaskis Conservation Pass, pricing structure, trail conditions, public safety issues, tourism opportunities and general area information;

    • Update current trail and weather reports, site and area event schedules on public information boards, social media and site kiosks;

    • Record necessary safety, accident, or wildlife occurrence information and really information to Kananaskis Emergency Services when needed;

    • Receive and appropriately handle visitor comments and suggestions for improvement.

    2. Process CNCPP day ticket and season passes, Kananaskis Conservation Pass and other related products :

    • Provide customers with CNCPP day tickets and season passes;

    • Utilize Point of Sale (POS) system(s) – AEP POS (ASPIRA) and complete daily cashouts;

    • Assist with POS management in collaboration with ASPIRA support staff and Service Alberta;

    • Accurately and efficiently process all cash, debit and credit card transactions and reconciliation;

    • Record and organize statistics for public visitation and interaction as required;

    • Provide users with assistance in purchasing the Kananaskis Conservation Pass.

    3. Support with the occasional operation and trail services

    4. Assistance with Volunteer Program Administration

    • Sign in and out of volunteers; and

    • Entry of volunteer information, hours reporting, etc.
