Employee Benefits Analyst


As an Employee Benefits Analyst with Western Financial Group, you will use your analytical and problem-solving expertise to support decisions for the Business Insurance Solutions team.


Here is what a typical day looks like

  • Evaluate risk, conduct comparisons, determine pricing, and prepare proposals for Employee Benefits Sales team for new business and the Employee Benefits Service team in consideration of plan design changes and renewals for existing clients
  • Review submissions for completeness and accuracy. Request missing information from the Employee Benefits Sales and Service teams.
  • Provide information and guidance on proposal positioning to Employee Benefits Sales and Service teams in regard to new business prospects and existing clients.
  • Develop constructive working relationships with Employee Benefits Sales and Service teams, and insurance program partners.
  • Organize the processes involved to add new employee benefits business during the proposal stage with the Employee Benefits Sales team and the postsale activities for the Employee Benefits Service team.

The value you bring

  • Experience working in the group insurance industry is required
  • Minimum 3 years analysis experience in a similar role within the insurance industry is considered an asset
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills demonstrating constructive, wellarticulated problem resolution and facilitation skills
  • The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.
  • Completed postsecondary education in a business, finance, accounting, or HR related field would be considered an asset.
  • Excellent documentation skills

Full-time - 37.5hrs/week
