Job Role:
We are currently seeking a

Project Coordinator/AutoCad Drafter in Langley, BC.

Responsibilities:


Job Summary:
The successful individual will work under the overall supervision of the Branch Project Executive, but support the broader Project Management, Operations Team, and individual Project Managers with AutoCAD and take-off support, as well as project administrative items, including cost tracking, entries for purchase order requisitions, vendor invoices, materials reconciliation and other activities including:

  • Set up field folders and project folders with electronic copies in SharePoint
  • Collaborate with PMs to create internal revenue recognition and external Schedule of Values (SoV) tables and enter these, following agreement with Project Executive, into GroundWorks (Keller proprietary project management and accounting software)
  • Review with PMs, and site supervision, the vendors required for each project and create Purchase Order Requisitions in GroundWorks
  • Assist PMs with communicating with project teams during execution
  • Review timesheets from foremen and site supervision and prepare final information for issue to Payroll
  • Review, investigate and provide responses to Project Managers and/or site supervision to payroll queries from employees
  • Completing administrative tasks and managing documentation associated with projects
  • Provide project reports on key metrics to Project Manager as required
  • Provide administrative support to Project management and Operations employees as required
  • Providing drafting support by preparing and maintaining engineering drawings
  • Completing redlined asbuilt drawings
  • Preparing drawings for general instruction and preliminary sketches, diagrams, or schematics
  • Preparing working drawings from conceptual layout to detailed finished product
  • Generating and coordinating files for project layout

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Technical College certificate/ diploma in Civil Engineering or related field preferred
  • Prior work experience of at least 3 years in related role or industry, with at least 1 year of cumulative AutoCad experience

Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements:

  • Selfmotivated with excellent customer service skills
  • Sound technical knowledge of the Civil Engineering Industry
  • Problem solving and common sense
  • Team player
  • Competency with Microsoft Office, and Excel in particular
  • Possesses good verbal, written, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Works well under pressure to hit deadlines as needed
  • Competent in the use of AutoCAD
